With only 5 students per session, my personalized instruction ensures that you’ll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.

This workshop offers you a unique opportunity to capture marine life with your drone, but drones are available upon request if you don’t have one.

Past students have enhanced their photography & videography skills, developed friendships within the drone community - and most importantly - enjoyed the thrill of launching their drones above beautiful seascapes teeming with wildlife.

What’s Included in a Workshop?

Adventure Awaits
We begin bright and early in the morning at the dock in Dana Point, CA, to meet our captain and board our privately chartered yacht. Breakfast snacks are provided as our small group gets to know each other and we embark on our marine safari.

Private Cruise
We spend about 2 – 3 hours out on the water, searching for marine life and filming what we find. Wildlife filming is always uncertain, whether by air or ground, but our captain does his utmost to get us close to the action.

Marine Safari
All workshops are scheduled during seasons of highest whale activity, and while there have been only a couple workshops where we didn't spot a whale, we always spot dolphins and other marine life and get great aerial footage.

Lunch and Learn
After an exhilarating cruise, we return to the dock and enjoy an included full lunch at a fantastic local restaurant. You will be provided with 6 of my specially-designed Lightroom presets, and during lunch I will give an informal editing demonstration using them with some of the photos we captured on the cruise.

Flying on Land
After lunch, we will go to one of my favorite local spots for more drone flying, but this time over land. We’ll spend about 2 hours flying and answering questions.

Personalized Skill Building
This is a perfect opportunity for us to take more time to hone your skills. You can ask me anything and I can help you break through any difficulties you’ve been experiencing as a drone pilot.

Memories for a Lifetime
At the end of the workshop you will leave with your memory bank full – in both senses of the word! You will not only gain invaluable experience, but also have a deeper understanding of how to approach drone flying creatively and confidently, fully prepared to embark on your own adventures in aerial photography and videography.
